I am blown away by the number of women, young, middle age and older that I have met here in Chicago that are doing and have dreams of living their lives organized around the Kingdom of God. I feel like this has been the best kept secret in the universe…hundreds of amazing women. Since the Vineyard has shifted to officially recognize women in every level of leadership…it is like the floodgate has opened…I am sobered and awed at the women I have met here. They are from all over the United States…I have met future theologians, scholars, pastors, small group leaders, future founders of non-profits, church planters… you name it they are here and they are an unstoppable force…

Simply amazing…

  1. That’s amazing. I’ve been thinking a lot about women and how much of a male-dominant society we live in. I’ve also been thinking about how much women have risen to that and have created a path of their own. I love it. It makes comforts me to know that I’m not the only one who sees it. You give me so much hope for the future :).

  2. I’m hoping that soon the Vineyard throughout the US will have that same vision, Rose. If I understand correctly, it’s up to the local Vineyard as to how much they really recognize the leadership of women at every level. Is that your understanding? I’m sure where that dimension of leadership is allowed, it truely is amazing. Please continue to tell us of your journeys. They are encouraging to us who maybe don’t see that freedom in our local Vineyards. Thanks!

  5. Several of us from our Wisconsin Vineyard attended Rose’s track on Missional Church. If you didn’t get a chance to attend her track, I would highly recommend ordering the cds. These sessions had my group crying throughout her talks…it was so affirming to hear someone articulate our hearts with such precision. This is why Rose is who she is. We need people like Rose to paint the picture, inspire us, pray for us and cheer us on.
