I need to find the most updated info on the following:
1. Average church size in America - broken down by tradition would be best
2. Percentages by size
3. What are the percentages of churches in America that are actively involved (serving in some way) in their neighborhood or city.
Any suggestions?
I think the “Church Law and Tax Report” has this info - Ed C probably knows where to find it.

Rose,
Here’s a link for you http://www.catalystweb.org/pdf/AmericanChurchCrisis.pdf It has some info from the book by David T. Olson, The American Church in Crisis. It might help alittle.
Here’s the Amazon link just in case that’s helpful: http://www.amazon.com/American-Church-Crisis-Groundbreaking-Research/dp/0310277132
Shalom,
Carol

Hi Rose,
All I know is that I am “broken down by tradition” ; ) but I don’t think that’s the question here. I will be interested in what you find out about this. Peace, Rich

Rich,
I am laughing because of the irony…
I will try to post some of my findings.

George Barna comes to mind. He may have published something which includes some, if not all of that info.
